Upon completion of the phased project, Brewery Blocks will have 80,000 SF of Class A office space right in the heart of downtown Tacoma. With the existing 131,000 SF of office space, the project is proposed to have 211,000 SF in total. Learn more about available space for lease here.

 

The location offers prime access to 509, 705, and   I-5, along with easy access to public transportation, making this spot a commuter's dream. The Link Light Rail drops you right down the street and the Sounder is only blocks away. Brewery Blocks is already home to businesses such as BCRA, InfoBlox, and Landau Associates (to name a few). The long-term project vision includes 450 parking stalls, 100 of which are already completed.

The developers vision for Brewery Blocks was focused on making the old new again. Previously known as the "warehouse district" in downtown Tacoma, the long-term project vision will include more than 200 units of market-rate housing. The Hunt Mottet Lofts were completed in 2005 featuring 21 units of residential space and 13,000 SF of commercial space while Brewery Lofts opened in 2020 featuring 49 luxury lofts and a rooftop lounge. Brewery Blocks is located off the Foss Waterway Bridge on S 21st Street, with entrances on both C Street and Commerce Street in Tacoma, Washington. Tacoma is located about 30 minutes south of Seattle situated on the banks of the Puget Sound.

Bordering Brewery Blocks on the North side is the University of Washington's Tacoma campus and the museum district featuring the Washington State History Museum, the Museum of Glass and the Tacoma Art Museum. The museum area is known for the Chihuly Bridge of Glass featuring art from renowned artist Dale Chihuly. Bordered on the East by fine dining options and the Dome District, Brewery Blocks is truly centralized for social enjoyment. 

The downtown revitalization over the years makes these areas easily accessible via the Link Light Rail and they are all very walkable from Brewery Blocks.

Tacoma is also knows as the "City of Destiny" seeing as the town was chosen was the western-most terminal for the Northern Pacific Railway in the late 1800's.

Brewery Blocks is revitalizing the former warehouse district that fed goods into the transcontinental railroad and created jobs leading to a population boom in Tacoma. A century ago, freight trains would load up materials on Commerce Street from floating docks, whose awnings are still part of the design today. Until a few years ago, those rails were still visible on Commerce Street.
